Biography

I am Michael Peñaflor Tuan. I grew up in simple town of Narra, Palawan. Today I am residing in Manalo Extension city of Puerto Princesa. At my young age, I become mostly interested in spiritual beliefs. My religious faith fall on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, most people call it Mormons.

On the beautiful morning of the 28th day of August year 1990, the light of the world first shine on my eyes. I was born in the small Barangay of Panitian, Quezon, Palawan 19th in a half years ago, with my loving parent Mr. An-sheng Tuan and Primerose Peñaflor. But before my first birthday, my father had gone in a missing accident. I grew up without the loving care of a father, until when I turn to five year old young man, my mother get marriage again to Mr. Conrado Bongat Jr.

At the age of 7 I began to go school nearby in our house. I finished my elementary education in Narra Pilot School and I graduate with honors on year 2004. I enter in Narra National High School to continue my secondary education. During my 3rd and 4th year in high school, I’m working every night in the Municipal Sports office as Sports Management and officiating official, on year 2008 I successfully graduated with the honor of Class Salutatorian.

During my vacations, I had worked in Municipal Budget Office as Student Assistant in the local municipality of Narra. I realize the importance of education and by the time I was 18, although my parent can’t support my financial needs, I go to college and enrolled in Western Philippines University – Main Campus to begin studying Electrical Engineering even though this is not the course I really like. I availed the academic scholarship offered by the university with a maintaining final average grade not lower the 1.5. During my study, I take an exam to be a member of the University Publication, my honorary as a writer simply helps me in providing my little requirement in my study. I accepted computer jobs to gain extra money, but after I had finished my 1st year in college, I stopped going to school because of the lack of financial support for my study.

I go to Puerto Princesa City to find a job, I worked as a Graphic Designer in OPISINA General Merchandising, but I clogged after the first month because of small wage they offered, with the help of the sister of my mate, I easily found a job again; I work as a Graphic Artist in Megaprint Total Wide Format Printing for three months and another three months in its sister company the GIGAPrint Trading and Services. I’m saving enough amount of money that I had earned every month for my education and small amount to send in my family.

I had five young stepbrothers and stepsisters, being called (beginning at the eldest), Neah Lourrica, 14 years old and in 3rd year high school; Bernard, 10 years old and in grade 4; Corina, 8 in half years old and in grade 2; Cluadine, 7 years old and also in grade 2; and Morian Cumer 7 months old. All of them are now studying in Narra, except to the youngest. Their father is now working as Driller in Australian Drilling Exploration Corporation.

My hobbies are playing music using guitar and keyboard, listening in music, reading, and networking. I’m involved in different kinds of sports like taekwondo, basketball, badminton and chess. I am very interested in public speaking, studying, teaching, literary contest and writings.

I am skilled in Lay-outing, designing, editing, typing and operating different kinds of computer applications and jobs, and teaching and demonstration. Many says, “I’m weird, but I know in myself that I am friendly.”

Today, I go to college again to pursue my tertiary education in Western Philippines University – Puerto Princesa City Campus, taking Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. I really love teaching, for me to teach is not only a profession but also a calling, to be a teacher, I want to create something difference in the life of my future students, and help them know how happy life can be even they are not prosperous. I choose mathematics to be my major not only because it is my favorite subject, but because I know that I can help to those students that has a difficulty in this subject.

While studying, I’m working as Sales agent of ST. PETER Life Plan same time also teaching KEYBOARD Course and Accepting Computer Jobs and Tutorials. Suddenly I had to stop again due to financial problem. I currently working now in Petal Printing Press, (The biggest Printing Press in our Province.).
